Your first week of payment is due along with your paperwork to secure your spot.

Interactive technology is defined as educational and age-appropriate technology, including programs, applications (apps), noncommercial television programming, videos, streaming media, and ebooks that are designed to: Facilitate active and creative use of technology; and encourage social engagement with other children and adults. Passive technology is defined as non-interactive television, videos, and streaming media. The child/ren may not be permitted to view more than 30 minutes of age-appropriate, educational passive technology per week.
Sick Policy/ Medication: Do not bring your child to Lucrezia’s Childcare if they have a fever over 100.4 degrees, diarrhea, vomiting, or a contagious illness. If your child is sick enough to require a prescription medication (pinkeye, strep throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.) we will require you to keep your child home for at least 24 hours and are no longer contagious. When a child gets sick at Lucrezia’s Childcare, a parent will be called and is expected to pick up the child within one hour. Children are not to return until they are symptom free for 24 hours. If you request us to administer medication to your child, you will need to fill out an authorization form. Prescription medication must be in the original container with the pharmacy label attached. The parent must administer the first dose of medication in case of any reactions to the medication.
**See COVID-19 policy for additional details**
Discipline Policy: Discipline is teaching, guidance, and learning. The rules of Lucrezia’s Childcare will be explained to the children to the level of their understanding daily. If a child becomes frustrated or upset, staff will re-focus that child on another activity. If the child continues to be angry staff will take the child aside and re-direct their energy on something else, such as drawing a picture about why he/she is upset. Time-out will also be an alternative for children who are acting inappropriately, allowing one minute per year of age. At no time will physical punishment be allowed at Lucrezia’s Child Care. Our goal is to teach children how to appropriately express their behavior, learn self-control, and feel good about themselves.
Transportation/ Field Trips: By signing the contract you are giving your child permission to be transported as needed in case of an emergency and allowing them to participate in activities at the daycare whether it be on or off premises. Prior to field trips or on-site events, a notice will be sent home confirming whether your child will or will not take part. If you would like to decline for your child to participate in a certain field trip you will have to find alternate care for them for that day.
